Chicago corporate event photography at the Museum of Science and Industry featuring an elegant anniversary dinner and holiday décor.

Celebrating 100 Years at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry

Chicago corporate event photography takes careful planning, especially when 400 guests come together for a once-in-a-century celebration. Rick Aguilar Studios recently photographed a 100-year corporate anniversary at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry. Clients traveled from around the world to attend the event.

The museum provided an impressive backdrop for the evening. Phil Cooper Designs created the décor, Sound Investment provided the music, and Sodexo handled the food and hospitality.

Our photography coverage was designed around both documentation and guest experience.

Our team included three photographers. This gave us the flexibility to photograph the entire celebration without missing the smaller moments that made the evening special.

Three Photographers for a 400-Guest Corporate Event

Large corporate events move quickly. Guests arrive, greet colleagues, enjoy cocktails, sit for dinner, listen to speakers, and reconnect throughout the evening.

One photographer cannot cover all of those moments at the same time.

We divided our three-person photography team throughout the venue. One photographer concentrated on guest portraits and arrivals. The other photographers captured the décor, candid interactions, dinner, speakers, groups, and important moments throughout the program.

This approach gave the client a much more complete story of the anniversary celebration.

It also allowed us to photograph both the scale of the event and the people who made it meaningful.

Custom Branded Portraits and On-Site Printing

The company wanted every guest to leave with something memorable from the celebration.

A custom branded step-and-repeat created a dedicated portrait area for the evening. We photographed every guest and printed the photographs on-site.

Each guest received a finished photograph inside a custom branded folder.

This type of photography works especially well for corporate events because it adds another experience for guests. Instead of simply posing for a photograph, guests receive something they can take home that night.

The company also gains a polished collection of guest portraits from the celebration. These images can support future marketing, social media, internal communications, and anniversary recaps.

Capturing the People Behind the Celebration

Corporate photography should do more than document a schedule.

We photographed guests meeting, laughing, networking, and reconnecting throughout the museum. We also captured the room design, table details, branding, entertainment, and atmosphere.

Those candid photographs often become some of the most important images from an event. They show how people experienced the celebration rather than simply showing what happened.

The evening also featured Lt. General H.R. McMaster as the guest speaker. Our photographers captured his presentation along with audience reactions and key moments from the program.

Planning Chicago Corporate Event Photography

Successful Chicago corporate event photography starts before the first guest arrives.

Our team reviews the schedule, venue, guest count, photography priorities, and important people. We also determine where photographers should position themselves during each part of the event.

For this celebration, we also coordinated the guest portrait area and on-site printing. With approximately 400 attendees, the workflow needed to move efficiently while still giving every guest a quality portrait.

That preparation allowed the photography to become part of the event without slowing down the evening.
